Sorry for the absence, I've been on a 3-week (woo hooo!) vacation, so have had no work stories. To tide us over, here's a quote from an interview with Neil Gaiman about winning the Newbery in the March 2009 edition of School Library Journal, talking about the ALA awards banquet he’ll be attending (after the interviewer points out there will be ladies in gowns, implying maybe he shouldn’t wear jeans and a t-shirt): “I always like seeing ladies in gowns, especially librarians. Librarians know how to wear gowns.”
